In Genesis 2, the Bible said, that man should leave his parents, and cleave to his mate. Two shall become one. Both are naked and yet without shame....
The sacredness and mystery of marital relationship was very deep. In Ephisians apostle Paul even use the marital relationship to symbolize the repationship between Jesus Christ and Church.
Here in Jeremiah, marital betrayal was used to symbolize the turmoil relationship between Yahweh and Israelite people.
The exclusive and total mutual and life long commitment relationship in human marriage must bear some relation to what God would like to enjoy in our relationship with Him.....
