Yeah, the vision or auditory hallucination [ you hear something that those near you didn't hear] might be from God, or from our own imagination, or even worse, from the disease process in our brain or mind. But there would be other associating signs and phenomena to help us do the differential diagnosis.

I had alsl fallen into the tyranny of Need when I was younger for many years. I learnd to differentiate between God's calling and environmental calling slowly. The presence of God would be the greatest assurance and award when we responded to God's calling with submission.
